The INAPEF Board of Directors shared they were working on proposed legislation with the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) that would create tax credits for donations to Indiana's K-12 public education, primarily through public education/school foundations.
We are pleased to tell you that bills have been drafted in both the Indiana Senate and House of Representatives for the 2018 legislative session that would establish those tax credits.
View the current drafts of the proposed legislation
Here is some information on the INAPEF website explaining the difference between tax credits and tax deductions.
How Can You Help?
Contact your local legislators and share with them the impact education foundations have on student learning and that there are bills in the 2018 legislative session that would help level the playing field for public education. We are asking your support for the proposed legislation to establish tax credits for public education.
We are thrilled to help DeKalb County’s Special Olympics team go to Seattle to represent DeKalb at the USA games!!!
