Welcome to the DeKalb Central Foundation!
The DeKalb Central Foundation bridges students, alumni, and community with opportunities to fulfill our school district’s resource gaps and strengthen student success to build a healthy community.
The DeKalb Central Foundation is excited to announce that all team spots for the 2026 DeKalb Central Foundation Golf Outing, scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, have officially been filled.
The annual outing continues to grow each year thanks to the incredible support of community members, alumni, local businesses, and sponsors who believe in the mission of supporting DeKalb Central students and staff. With a full field of golfers registered, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the Foundation’s most successful outings to date.
While team registration is now closed, the Foundation is still actively seeking businesses and organizations interested in supporting the event through sponsorships, prize donations, raffle items, giveaways, and other contributions. Donations from local businesses help create an exciting experience for participants while directly supporting educational initiatives and opportunities throughout DeKalb Central Schools.
Businesses interested in sponsoring the outing can still take advantage of several sponsorship opportunities, including hole sponsorships, beverage sponsorships, contest sponsorships, and promotional partnerships. Sponsors receive valuable community exposure and recognition throughout the event.
Companies and community partners interested in donating items or becoming sponsors are encouraged to visit the official golf outing website for additional information and sponsorship details:

The DeKalb Central Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who has already registered, sponsored, donated, or supported the event. The continued generosity of the community allows the Foundation to invest in programs, grants, and opportunities that positively impact students and educators across the district.
For additional questions regarding sponsorships or donations, interested businesses may contact Elizabeth Laker (director@dekalbcentralfoundation.net) or Jamie Marley (jdacurtis@dekalbcentral.net).
The DeKalb Central Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of its new Executive Director, Elizabeth Laker.
A 2018 graduate of DeKalb High School, Laker brings a strong combination of academic achievement and professional experience to the role. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Saint Francis and serves at Trine University’s Brooks College of Health Professions.
Laker’s leadership will support the Foundation’s mission to bridge students, alumni, and the community by addressing resource gaps within DeKalb Central Schools, supporting student success, and helping build a stronger community. Her work will also reflect the Foundation’s vision of creating a connected and supportive community where every student has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
“I am honored to step into this role and give back to the community that shaped me,” Laker shared. “I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, alumni, and community partners as we continue to grow the Foundation’s impact.”
The Foundation is excited for the energy and vision Laker will bring as it continues to expand opportunities for students and strengthen community connections across the district.
Community members and partners interested in connecting with Laker or scheduling a meeting are encouraged to reach out via email at director@dekalbcentralfoundation.net.
